 About Us
People always ask Jim English, owner of LesCare Kitchens, how did you happen to name your company LesCare Kitchens? The answer is simple Jim explains, “We named our company after the LesCare product line, manufactured in Waterbury, Connecticut.  Since that time, the LesCare cabinet company changed ownership and re-named itself Apple Valley Woodworks. Being that we are a separate independent company with no financial connections to LesCare Kitchens, Inc., we decided to continue trading as LesCare Kitchens.

"Another interesting fact is that we are located directly across from the new PNC Pirate Baseball Stadium, on the North Shore."  Heinz Field, home of the Pittsburgh Steelers,  as well as the Andy Warhol Museum is also only a stone’s throw away.  Accordingly, there are sporting events, social gatherings and plenty of activity twelve months a year."  The LesCare Kitchens facility consists of a 3500 square foot state of the art showroom, complete with beautifully designed kitchens and bath displays. The product lines available are all quality driven and offer realistic price point programs. "This allows us the opportunity to participate in many different markets.  From Contemporary to Traditional Styles, LesCare’s product lines are a real competitive show and tell story.”

Jim English should know. His thirty plus years in the Kitchen business is LesCare Kitchens strongest asset.  Upon being asked about the history of his business career, English said,  “My first business was St. Charles Kitchens of Pittsburgh located in Mt. Lebanon, PA.  St. Charles Kitchen cabinetry was a high quality product line that set the standard throughout the cabinet industry.  We were fortunate with the St. Charles brand for the opportunity to participate in a number of commercial jobs. Some of the projects completed were the Trimont Condominiums, Hunt Stables of Ligonier, Mobay Chemicals Research Laboratories, Eye & Ear Hospital, and the University of Pittsburgh’s Scaife Hall."

In the late 1980’s, the St. Charles Kitchens of Pittsburgh business name was changed to Kitchen Works Design Center and re-located to Greentree, PA. The LesCare Kitchens business was formed in October of 2002 located on the North Shore.

"We continue to strive to build our reputation by providing quality products, personalized unique designs and custom installation services."
